TPS Worldwide LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the NinePocket application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our Service.

  • Account Information: Email address, name, and collector preferences provided during registration or waitlist signup.
  • Scan Images: Photographs of trading cards submitted through the scanning feature. These images are stored on our servers and may be retained indefinitely.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, scan history, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Collection Data: Information about cards you save, organize, or track within the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Operation: To provide card scanning, identification, pricing, and collection management features.
  • AI and Model Improvement: Scan images and associated data may be used to train and improve our machine learning models, card identification algorithms, and pricing accuracy. This is a core part of how we improve the Service for all users.
  • Analytics: To understand how users interact with the Service and to improve performance and user experience.
  • Communications: To send you service-related notifications, updates, and marketing communications (which you can opt out of).
  • Security: To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

4. Image Data

We want to be transparent about how we handle scan images. When you use NinePocket to scan trading cards, the images you submit are:

  • Stored on our servers for processing and to provide the Service.
  • Used to improve our card identification and pricing technology, including training machine learning models.
  • Retained indefinitely, even after you delete your account, as they may have already been incorporated into our training datasets.
  • Potentially used in anonymized or aggregated form for research and development.

Images are not sold to third parties and are not used for advertising purposes. However, insights derived from aggregated image data may inform product development decisions.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect or process your data:

  • Supabase: Cloud database service used to store account information and application data.
  • Google Analytics: Web analytics service used to track and analyze usage patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies.
  • Cloudflare: CDN and security service that may process request data for performance and security purposes.

6. Data Retention

Account information is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will remove your account information within a reasonable timeframe. However, scan images and training data derived from your usage may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form indefinitely, as removing individual contributions from trained models is not technically feasible.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal information (subject to the data retention limitations described above).
  • Opt out of marketing communications.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion of personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on the Service with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
